Well, today I had a nice day off from work.
Nice? Let me qualify that ...
Early this morning, I had a blue nevus removed from my right hand (so there might have been more than the usual number of tyrping mistakes present in my work today). A blue nevus is a type of mole - deeper than usual in the skin, the pigmentation is blue. They are almost never malignant (so no worries there). But it had been getting larger, hurt like anything if it was knocked and bled lots too. So, I persuaded the ultra efficient Dermatology Department to remove it, which they did under a local anathesthetic this morning. No problems, although it aches a bit now, and my hand sports an impressive dressing.
My games seem to be going well. In Enclaves, Dot seems prepared to tear the universe apart in quest of fried chicken, as is right and proper, while Seth balances pint pots and quart mugs and wonders how to put his daughter back together again. In GalRen we are coming to the end of a major plot which - as usual - means we will be knee-deep in others shortly ... but the new players and characters seem to be settling in well, which is excellent.
And Winter Chills is continuing to blow me away. Yes, yes, I know. New. Shiny. But the plots and characters are coming together remarkably. Fingers crossed, we even seem to be coping with variable posting speeds by pacing threads at different rates.
And the players ... Oh wow. The players. :-)
